Sinularia flexibilis
Sinularia leather corals have a tough, textured surface and finger-like growth forms in shades of tan, brown, green, and cream. Hardy and forgiving, well-suited to beginner and intermediate reef tanks, but they release allelopathic compounds that can stress nearby corals — good skimming and regular water changes are essential. They periodically shed a waxy outer coating, during which polyps retract; this is normal.
