Zoanthids

Zoanthids

Zoanthus sp.

Zoanthids are colorful colonial polyps that come in virtually every color combination imaginable, growing in encrusting mats across rock surfaces. Among the easiest corals for beginners, tolerating a wide range of light and flow while spreading readily. Important safety note: many zoanthids contain palytoxin — always use gloves and eye protection when handling or fragging.
