Lysmata wurdemanni
The Peppermint Shrimp is prized by hobbyists primarily for its appetite for Aiptasia pest anemones — one of the most effective biological controls available. Its translucent body with red striping makes it attractive but understated. Keep in groups for best Aiptasia control; note that some individuals are better Aiptasia eaters than others, and misidentified species (Lysmata boggessi) may not eat Aiptasia at all.
