Rhodactis Mushroom

Rhodactis Mushroom

Rhodactis sp.

The Rhodactis Mushroom (also called Hairy or Elephant Ear Mushroom) is a large, textured corallimorpharian that can grow up to 6 inches across with a fuzzy, carpet-like surface. Unlike smaller Discosoma mushrooms, Rhodactis can be semi-aggressive — large specimens have been known to engulf and consume small fish, frags, and neighboring corals that drift too close. Easy to keep under low-moderate light and flow, but give it space and don't place valuable corals nearby.
