Maroon Clownfish

Maroon Clownfish

Premnas biaculeatus

The Maroon Clownfish is the largest and most boldly colored of all clownfishes, displaying a deep burgundy-red body with three broad white or gold stripes and distinctive cheek spines. It is an extremely aggressive host-defender and will readily challenge fish far larger than itself. Despite its feisty temperament, it is one of the hardiest clownfish available and pairs spectacularly with a Bubble-Tip Anemone.
